With the Abbe refractometer - 98.490, you obtain a refractometer for the rapid and accurate determination of the refractive index R.I. between 1.300 and 1.700 as well as the sugar content of transparent liquids, dispersions, emulsions, or other substances. Using the supplied thermometer, the refractive index can be calculated for a temperature range of 0...+70ºC. To temper the refractometer at both the upper and lower ends of the prism holder, adapters for the water tube are provided, allowing temperature equalization via an external thermostat. In this way, with the Abbe refractometer - 98.490, you can perform, for example, an exact determination of the sugar content in a range of 0 ... 95%. The field of application is significantly broader: Measurement and analysis of fats, oils, colors, varnishes, food, chemicals, alcohol, and solvents... The Abbe refractometer 98.490 can also be applied for calculating refractive indices of glass, plastic sheets, etc.
