With the PCE-PST 1 adhesion tester, you can check the adhesion of edges and substrates. The adhesion tester allows you to define processing quality. The speed, stroke, force, and angle settings are fixed. The rollers and guide surface reduce friction values. The clamping jaws and guide rollers ensure high reproducibility values. All this reduces errors that the user may generate. The PCE-PST adhesion tester has been developed for forces up to 500 N. With a stroke of about 100 mm and a speed of 0.3 m/min, it is possible to check an edge in less than a minute by untrained personnel. Once the edge to be checked is introduced, the measurement is performed in automatic mode once the trigger force reaches 20 N. Once the test is finished, a statistical indication will appear on the adhesion tester's screen, showing the MIN, MAX, and average values. If needed, it is possible to perform the measurement via software, which will additionally provide a diagram of force over time.
