The portable digital air quality meter HQ 210 has a backlit display, 2 channels for measurement probes and Pt100 temperature probes, and output to PC or printer. The air quality meter can measure up to 6 parameters simultaneously, has different functions for measuring temperature, hygrometry, and air quality.

The HQ 210 instrument can also calculate and display the WBGT index, which corresponds to an index estimating the effect of temperature, humidity, and solar radiation on humans. It is calculated from the following temperatures: 

- T w = Wet bulb temperature, parameter calculated from relative humidity with a thermo-hygrometric probe; 

- T g = Globe temperature, measured with a globe thermometer, or black ball thermometer, whose sensor is located inside a black sphere, simulating the behavior of a black body as a measurement of solar radiation. The measurement is made with a temperature probe located inside a black ball; 

- T d = Air temperature, measured with a thermometer whose bulb is protected from solar radiation by a shield. This measurement is made with a thermo-hygrometric probe

- Measurement of humidity, temperature, CO2, CO, and air velocity (depending on the model).
