The Kestrel 3500 Time Meter has most of the functions of any Kestrel Meter in the 3000 series. The Kestrel 3500 measures temperature, wind speed, barometric phenomena, pressure trends for up to 3 hours and more. The Kestrel 3500 offers a full range of meteorological measurements, but does not log accumulated data like the higher technology time meters of the Kestrel 4000 series. For those who need a complete reading of only the latest weather information, the 3500 is the ideal Kestrel meter.
The Kestrel 3500 Time Meter has all the capabilities of the Kestrel 3000, plus:

In addition to the trend indicator of the Kestrel 3500 pressure, it also has the advantage of altitude and barometric pressure measurement. With these features at hand at any time, the Kestrel 3500 becomes an ideal meteorological instrument for outdoor enthusiasts, athletes, and anyone else who will benefit from accurate and up-to-the-second weather and barometric information.
The barometric trend feature is not quite the graph of the Kestrel 4000 series, but rather an arrow indicator. The arrow indicates the trend of the previous 3 hours, even if the meter was off. If the batteries are changed, the arrow will only show the current trend, not historical.
For military, or simply those who use it a lot at night, the olive gray NV version of the Kestrel 3500 features a backlight preserving night vision. The backlight incorporates an optical filter to reduce overall brightness and minimize blue and green spectrum light to preserve night vision. (Note: This backlight appears a soft gray-pink color, not 'red', and is still in the visible spectrum, so it is not compatible with night vision equipment.)
Easy-to-use rolling menu system of the Kestrel 3500 for 9 different environmental measurement conditions. It features an external temperature sensor with a waterproof housing that allows you to measure the temperature of water, snow, and outdoor air. The user-replaceable sensitive impeller technology provides accurate wind speed information, and a sliding disk over the case, safety cord, and battery are included.
