The PCE-CSM 5 colorimeter offers various features and measurement functions. More specifically, this means that it has different measurement openings. If necessary, the colorimeter can perform a measurement with or without a hole plate, thus allowing the detection of concave surfaces. The PCE-CSM 5 colorimeter is mainly found in the plastics, textiles, and color production application sectors. The colorimeter is also used in the fields of medicine, as well as in food and cosmetic production.

Another indication that the colorimeter is an easy-to-use product is the fact that in addition to being able to perform measurements, different color spectra can be calibrated automatically and manually. One calibration (white) allows for automatic calibration. Additionally, the colorimeter is shipped with a standard external calibration (white). This way, the user can freely choose the option they want. The evaluation software, which is specially designed for the colorimeter, offers the user the opportunity to read and analyze the results obtained from the measurement at a later date on the PC. It provides an overview of measurement series, etc., and simultaneously allows for any necessary further processing.
