The ISO cup viscometer is suitable for determining the draining time of Newtonian or nearly Newtonian liquids and is commonly used in laboratories and industrial production. To operate it, close the nozzle and pour the product to be measured into the cup viscometer. When placing the glass plate over the cup, a depression is created, allowing the cup to be placed on the tripod for measuring time. The measurement time starts when you remove the glass plate from the cup viscometer. As soon as the flow stops, you must stop the timer. For a relative value, this method is suitable in many fields. To ensure the accuracy of the cup viscometer in successive measurements, it must be cleaned after each use. Be careful not to damage the inside of the cup. Every scratch and dry residue will affect subsequent measurements.
