Decibel Meter PCE-322A

Class II decibel meter with memory for measurement values, interface, USB cable, analog output, data transmission and analysis software, connector for signal output

The PCE-322 A decibel meter is an ideal tester for measuring and controlling noise pollution in fields such as industry, safety, environmental settings, healthcare, etc. With the decibel meter, long-duration measurements can be made since this model has a data logging function of up to 262,100 values. The data recorded with the decibel meter can be transferred to a laptop or PC via a USB cable. The decibel meter software allows viewing the recorded data in table form and graphs, and it can also transfer the measured values to a calculation program, such as MS Excel.

- Measurement range of 30 ... 130 dB

- Resolution of 0.1 dB

- USB interface for data transfer

- Internal memory for 262,100 points

- Fast and slow temporal valuation

- Date and time

- Solid ABS plastic housing

- Large LCD screen with bar graph

Electret microphone

The PCE-322A decibel meter has an electret microphone. It is a variant of the condenser microphone, which uses the lasting effect of electrostatic polarization through a laminar electrode, thus requiring no power supply. Between the condenser plates, on the membrane or on the backplate, there is a laminar electrode, in which the polarization of the membrane has been "frozen". The electret is a material that is electrically charged durably. These microphones make up 90% of the market, being the most manufactured and used. They are also integrated, for example, in mobile phones or portable recorders. The frequency response of these microphones can be as sound pressure receivers (microphones with spherical characteristics) from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Our decibel meter has been built with a microphone with a maximum frequency of 8 kHz.
