This professional dosimeter is an accurate measuring instrument for alpha, beta and gamma radiation. For this purpose, this device has a wide measurement range and can be used for sporadic measurements in situ as well as for long-term measurements or for simple inspection.

The dosimeter provides a certified measurement of natural ambient radiation and artificially elevated radiation up to 500 times the set limit value.

The applications are multiple. This Geiger counter has commonly been used in atomic power plants. It is becoming increasingly important in the control of imported materials, as well as in the measurement of irradiated foods. It can also measure natural radioactive radiation, such as that which appears near the sea. It also serves in the control of construction materials in factory renovations ...

In our online offer, there are two versions of the device: the standard version in model GS1 or the same device with acoustic signaling (Ticker) in model GS2.

Radiation measurement values can be stored in the memory of the same radioactivity meter and can be transmitted and evaluated on a computer via included equipment (software and RS-232 data cable). 

Radiation values can be recorded on this device via software and data cable included in the shipment. This device can be used for on-site measurements. This is the Gamma - Scout Online (GS-3), which continuously sends data to the PC. This data is sent in pulses every 10 / 30 or 60 seconds.

What is Radioactivity? 

Antoine-Henri Becquerel discovered in the late 19th century that uranium unions emit invisible radiation spontaneously, that is, without external influence.

For example, the disintegration of radium with alpha radiation emission. The unstable nucleus of the radioactive radium isotope (composed of 88 protons and 138 neutrons) tends to seek a more stable state. Therefore, the radium nucleus emits a so-called alpha particle that is equivalent to a helium nucleus, composed of 2 protons and 2 neutrons. This is alpha radiation.
