The durometer allows for immediate measurement of surface hardness. The durometer like the PCE-2600 is mainly used in production processes and quality control. Since the hardness tester is a portable instrument that can be used with one hand, it can perform surface measurements on different types of material. Its compact dimensions allow the durometer to be used in hard-to-reach places. The internal memory of the durometer records up to 1000 groups of values. A group of values stores between 2 and 6 measurements, as well as the average value. The PCE-2600 durometer even allows measurements inside holes. This is possible thanks to the elongated impactor (type DL). The durometer allows measurements on different types of steel, iron, and aluminum and brass alloys. The software included in the shipment allows for subsequent evaluation on the PC.
