This professional radiation counter is a precise measuring instrument for alpha, beta, and gamma radiation. This Geiger radiation counter has a wide measurement range and can be used for both sporadic on-site measurements and long-term measurements or simple inspection. The radiation counter provides a certified measurement of natural environmental radiation and artificially elevated radiation up to 500 times the adjusted limit value. Applications are numerous; for example, it can detect minimal natural radiation as well as X-ray radiation in the medical sector. This Geiger radiation counter has commonly been used in nuclear power plants. It is increasingly important in the control of imported materials, as well as in the measurement of irradiated foods. Natural radioactive radiation, such as that found near the sea, can also be measured. It serves equally in the control of construction materials in factory renovations... There are three versions of this radiation counter: the standard version in model GS1, with acoustic signaling (Ticker) in model GS2, or the version for continuously sending data to the PC (Online) in model GS3. The radiation measurement values can be stored in the memory of the radiation counter and can be transmitted and evaluated on a computer using equipment included in the shipment (software and USB data cable). This equipment can be used for on-site radioactivity measurements. With the Gamma-Scout Online model (GS3), data can be continuously sent to the PC at intervals of 10, 30, or 60 seconds.
