Wile hygrometers have been confirmed by numerous tests worldwide as one of the most accurate portable grain moisture meters on the market. The accuracy of the instrument is based on a basic and robust design without moving parts that has been improved over years of constant development thanks to Farmcomp's deep knowledge of moisture measurement in grains across various harvesting areas worldwide.

The analysis method of Wile meters is based on measuring a high-frequency alternating current that is applied through the sample. The instrument converts the value of this measurement into a moisture value thanks to the use of scales or calibration tables that are programmed in the meter's memory.

Each type of grain and product has its own unique moisture characteristics. This means that each type of product has its own scale.

To achieve the best accuracy and level of repeatability, the grain sample must be normalized as much as possible. In Wile meters, the grain sample is uniformly compressed to eliminate differences. This makes the measurement result extremely precise and represents a fundamental difference when compared to other open cell moisture meters available on the market.

The results of Wile meters are comparable to the results of laboratory desktop equipment and reception. Their price can be up to 15 times lower!

Wile 55 can measure 16 different types of grains or seeds that are stored in the instrument's memory.

The Wile moisture meter also has a basic measurement scale that provides a universal measurement value. This scale is mainly used for calibrating the equipment and can also be used to measure any new product that is not previously programmed among the 16 product types in memory. In this way, conversion tables can be developed that are available for many of the most common types of grains and products.

Easy to use

Measuring with the Wile 55 is simple. After correctly selecting the grain type, you just need to press a button. The large display allows easy reading of the result even in low light conditions. The meter has a quick reference guide located on a label on the side of the display to facilitate daily use.

User adjustable

All Wile humidity meters are individually calibrated under controlled temperature conditions before leaving the factory in Finland. Over the years, due to extreme rainy and storm conditions, the quality of the grains may differ substantially from the reference grain. In these cases, the user can make a correction to adjust the results with those of a grain warehouse or with reference samples from the oven. The correction is temporary and independent for each grain and does not affect the basic scale programmed in the meter's memory.

Automatic temperature compensation

The Wile 55 meter has two temperature sensors, one on the electronic circuit board and another in the grain measurement hopper. These sensors compensate for temperature differences between the sample and the meter itself, automatically correcting the moisture result presented. This function ensures the best accuracy in grain moisture measurements.
