Moisture meter for packaged hay, straw, and silage
The Wile 27 moisture meter is a reliable and easy-to-use tool for users of hay, silage, and straw.
With Wile 27, the moisture of packaged hay, silage, and ensilage can be measured between 10 and 70% moisture. The moisture of barley and wheat straw can be measured between 10 and 50% moisture.
Hay and straw spoil if too moist; it can even heat dangerously during the process. Use Wile 27 to ensure that the packaged hay is dry enough to be stored safely, or it needs additional drying.
Wile 27 can also be used to define the moisture or dry matter content of silage bales for different purposes.
Wile 27 shows the moisture of hay or silage, i.e., water content in weight percent. The dry matter content is equal to 100% moisture, minus: for example, 30% moisture refers to a dry matter content of 70%.
