The HAEMATOKRIT 200 is a compact and efficient centrifuge for determining the volumetric ratio of erythrocytes in blood.

Additionally, in neonatology, the hematocrit centrifuge is used to obtain plasma to photometrically determine the bilirubin content in the newborn's blood.

This powerful centrifuge separates samples in a matter of minutes. With a maximum centrifugal acceleration of 16,060 x g, this hematocrit centrifuge requires less than seven minutes for red blood cells to reach their maximum packing density or to obtain cell-free plasma for further analysis.

For each cycle, it can centrifuge up to a total of 24 capillary tubes. The segmented rotor of the centrifuge offers an individual chamber for each capillary tube. This presents the advantage that, in the event of a glass tube breaking, none of the other capillary tubes will be damaged by a chain reaction. Glass shards and blood from the affected capillary tube are collected in a damping bucket located on the outer margin of each segment. At the same time, it serves as support for the capillary tubes, is easy to clean, and easy to replace.

Once sedimentation is complete, hematocrit values can be inquired using the rotor cap, which at the same time serves as an evaluation disk. For this, it will not be necessary to extract the capillary tubes. This saves time and provides additional security.
