The HI2209 is an affordable basic benchtop pH/mV meter. Operation is simplified to calibration and mode selection (pH, mV, or temperature). pH calibration is made easy through the user-friendly front panel controls for offset and slope adjustment. A front button is also provided to manually adjust the temperature compensation of the pH reading.

The HI2209 has an input for a BNC electrode. The BNC connector is a universal connector that is commonly available and allows the user to select from a wide variety of pH or ORP electrodes for their particular application.

Features at a glance

Simple user interface - Operation is straightforward with limited features that only require the use of several controls on the front panel. Readings are easy to see on the large, clear display.

One or two calibration points - Manual calibration can be performed at 1 or 2 points on the HI2209. This simple feature allows for the demonstration of the concepts of offset and slope. The HI2209 can be calibrated at any value within the measurement range of 0.00 to 14.00 pH.

HI1332B pH electrode The HI2209 is supplied with the HI1332B PEI plastic body, a double junction pH electrode with a general-purpose (GP) glass sensor. The durable design of the body and GP glass allows the HI1332B to be used in a wide variety of applications, from chemical samples to field use and quality control.

Temperature compensation - Manual temperature compensation provides the ability to demonstrate the effect of temperature on pH measurements. Manual temperature correction with the HI2209 is easy to use and allows temperature corrections ranging from 0 to 100 °C based on the sample being tested.

Built into the solution holders - The HI2209 solution holders feature the meter integrated directly into the housing. This practical function saves valuable desktop space and keeps solution bottles in an upright position, preventing potential spills.
