The PCE-UT 512 insulation tester is a universal tester ideal for performing on-site measurements and in workshops with difficult measurement conditions. The insulation tester is delivered with a robust case. The large LCD screen with backlighting shows all the most important magnitudes simultaneously, while the bar graph allows you to see the development of insulation resistance. The Guard input can be used to prevent falsification of measurement values caused by residual current. Different measurement modes allow for quick and easy usual measurements. In addition to continuous measurement, you can previously define the duration of the measurement. In comparative mode, after entering the limit value, you can detect whether the object to be measured is above or below the programmed limit value (Pass/Fail test). This meter can also autonomously perform the polarization test (PI test). For this, the insulation resistance is measured twice at a adjustable interval, relating both parameters. The ability to measure alternating and direct voltage up to 600 V expands the application range of this insulation meter. The USB port for real-time transmission of measurement values, which can be recorded using the software, completes the range of functions of this meter.
