The Metpoint LKD leak detector can detect the smallest leaks in compressed air ducts. Leak rates of up to 30% are not uncommon in compressed air ducts and can be effectively reduced with the Metpoint LKD leak detector. For leak detection, the Metpoint LKD leak detector utilizes a physical effect. When air escapes from a hole, it generates friction of gas molecules against the duct wall, producing an ultrasonic wave that the leak detector identifies. The leak detector converts this ultrasound into an audible acoustic signal. The high reliability in leak detection is the most notable feature of the Metpoint LKD leak detector. Since it simply registers the ultrasonic signal of the leak, the leak detector can also be used in very noisy work environments. The noise-canceling headphones included with the leak detector shipment further minimize ambient noise. The OLED color display of the Metpoint LKD leak detector provides an instant view of the measured data and quick location of leaks. Thanks to the fixed measurement range of 40 kHz, only the typical ultrasonic signals of any leak are recorded, while other disturbing signals are ignored. The leak detector is also fully suitable for continuous mobile use, as it can be conveniently recharged with the included car charger.
