The photometer is indicated for measuring, for example, the nitrate in the waters of the brewing industry or from springs and sources. Nitrates in water mainly come from waste from plants and animals that contain nitrogen. The primary toxicity of nitrate is low, but toxic nitrite can form. It is especially dangerous for small children.

In the brewing industry, nitrate is measured because its high concentration negatively influences yeast fermentation. In untreated spring and well water, nitrate contents of up to 20 mg/l can be measured. Values above this can cause contamination for agriculture. As you can see, the nitrate photometer has many applications. This nitrate photometer is easy to handle even for inexperienced users. The nitrate photometer operates with the cadmium reduction method through the formation of a chromatic complex (amber color). The photometer provides nitrate - nitrogen values. To obtain the direct nitrate content, the displayed value on the screen must be multiplied by 4.43.
