The PCE-DPT 1 non-contact thermometer consists of a non-contact thermometer and an integrated hygrometer. With these two sensors, the non-contact thermometer can record values with which the energy-saving detector determines the dew point. If this dew point is reached or exceeded, there is a risk of moisture occurring and therefore mold will appear. When the PCE-DPT 1 non-contact thermometer is turned on, it measures the indoor temperature and air humidity. The calculated dew point now serves as a reference for infrared measurements of potential mold risk areas. The energy-saving detector shows where there are various weaknesses in insulation with resulting moisture spots or where it is necessary to prevent eventual mold growth.
