This budget gas detector has been designed for applications requiring protection against a specific, flammable, or toxic gas. The Gasman gas detector is a unique gas detector (you will see the selection of gases later). The Gasman alerts its user with a piercing alarm tone and an optical signal (useful in case of loud noises in the environment) of the presence of dangerous gas concentrations and displays the current gas measurement value on the screen. Additionally, with this gas detector, you can save the measurement values and, if desired, transmit and analyze them on a computer. For this, it is necessary to have the software. The data logging will allow you to save all measurement values in the gas detector with a measurement rate of 1 minute. The log can record 900 hours of data at 1-minute intervals (54,000 records). The data saved in the gas detector can be transferred to a computer or laptop at any time for further analysis.

The gas detector can be calibrated and certified according to DIN ISO. It has also been tested according to the latest guidelines (directriz 94 / 9 / EG y disposición sobre la protección contra explosiones (ExVo)). Two recalibrations can also be performed per year. You choose the sensor (e.g. for which type of gas) with which the device should be equipped. You can choose from various types of sensors for different gases.

The gas detector complies with all European and international standards, including ATEX regulations.

Another special use is the measurement of ozone concentration, therefore this small gas detector can be complemented with an ozone sensor. The required ranges and alarms may vary by country and application, which can be configured as needed. Each gas channel can have two levels of instantaneous alarm set. Toxic gas units also have time-weighted average (TWA) alarms.

The Gasman gas detector has a vibrating module that alerts even in very noisy environments through vibrations.

If you equip the gas detector with the internal data logger function and want to transmit the saved values from the device to a PC after taking a measurement, you will need the combined charging station (charging station and interface at the same time).

The vacuum pump equipment for sucking gases can be optionally purchased. This equipment is used when it is necessary to determine gases in very hard-to-reach areas.

Attention: the aspiration of chlorine, nitrogen dioxide, and ozone is not allowed in hard-to-reach areas.

Interface for PC

You can request as an optional component standard software to configure, calibrate, and adjust alarm limits and the data logger function (optional) to read the measurement values saved in the gas detector. This software represents the data in graphical or tabular form. They can be exported to other programs.

Please note:

The combined charging station serves as an interface for data transmission, meaning the station is used to charge the gas detector batteries for 'flammable gases' + 'oxygen' and as an interface for the PC for the rest of the models.

Maintenance and recalibration

You can send us the gas detector for maintenance and recalibration considering the instructions in your company's internal ISO manual (for example, twice a year).

The gas detector is disassembled, cleaned, and recalibrated. If a sensor can no longer be calibrated or its validity period has expired, you will receive the corresponding information. Replacement sensors can be found in our online offer.

Production regulations ATEX (unofficially also known as "ATEX 95" due to Art. 95 of the EG directive on the free movement of goods) of the European Parliament and Council for the approximation of Member States for gas analyzers and protection systems for use in explosion risk areas, sets the standards for placing products used in those sectors on the market. This regulation took into account non-electrical devices for the first time. For example, rotary couplings can ignite due to unforeseen overheating. The purpose of this regulation is to protect people working in areas with explosion hazards. The regulation contains in Appendix II the basic health and safety requirements that the manufacturer must take into account and that must be verified with the corresponding CE conformity marking.
