The ElementCheck Mobile spectrometer reliably and accurately determines all elements of the periodic table from atomic number 11 (sodium). Additionally, the ElementCheck X-ray spectrometer offers a multitude of automatic measurement modes and material databases that can be easily changed and updated. The X-ray fluorescence analysis (or XRF) allows for precise determination of the chemical elements present in a material. The ElementCheck Mobile spectrometer uses this fascinating physical procedure for industrial applications. The spectrometer is based on a physical principle: X-rays excite the atoms found in the sample to be analyzed. Likewise, the electrons change their energy state due to their jump to another atomic orbital. The resulting energy difference is released as X-rays. Thanks to its energy spectrum and characteristic frequency, each element of the periodic system can be clearly and quantitatively attributed. Since the spectrometer uses X-rays, in Germany and Switzerland, a usage certificate is required according to X-ray and radiation protection regulations. We are happy to inform you about everything that needs to be considered to obtain such a certificate. Here in Spain, the activity of industrial radiography is regulated by the Regulation on nuclear and radioactive installations (Royal Decree 1836/1999 of December 3), according to which the possession and use of X-ray equipment operating at more than 5 kV requires authorization as a radioactive installation. The holder must submit the application along with the supporting documentation specified in Article 38 of the aforementioned regulation, either to the General Directorate of Energy Policy and Mines of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, or through the General Directorate of Industry of the autonomous community corresponding to the location of the installation if this function has been transferred. This radioactive installation must have at least one licensed supervisor, and all personnel operating the equipment must hold an operator's license. These licenses are granted by the CSN (Nuclear Safety Council). With this compact and easy-to-handle spectrometer, you have a complete analysis laboratory in your hands.
