The OHAUS compact scale is a lightweight, portable weighing scale perfectly suited for use in laboratory, industrial, educational, and home applications. Applications may include forensic testing, quality control, formulation, soil sampling, weighing needs, and dietary postal. 
 
Scales offer a large weighing platform and can adequately handle large samples including large letters. Additionally, the standard stainless steel platform is removable for easy cleaning. 
 
The low-profile design is truly portable when powered by 3 "AA" batteries (included). A standard AC adapter can also be used to power the scale when used in a more permanent location. 
 
These scales offer easy operation with 2 clearly marked buttons, low battery indicator, and automatic shut-off to save battery. Mechanical overload protection and software minimize damage to the weighing cell.
