MICROPROCESSOR FEATURES AND FUNCTIONS

The STERILMATIC-C autoclaves are equipped with a microprocessor, the result of research and long experience as autoclave manufacturers, to meet the needs and demands of sterilization users. The microprocessor with a liquid crystal alphanumeric display indicates which phase of the process is being performed or what anomaly has occurred, prints sterilization data, as well as the date and time to validate the sterilized product. It accepts a second temperature probe to detect the actual temperature in the 'core' of liquids or in waste bags, thus sterilizing them effectively and correctly. In short, it has been designed to maximize the ease of sterilization.

When we run a program, the microprocessor screen, besides displaying the temperature and sterilization and drying time, indicates the phase of the sterilization cycle.

A complete sterilization cycle consists of the following phases:

VACUUM: Initial vacuum (air expulsion from the chamber).

FILLING: Automatic filling of distilled water in the sterilization chamber.

HEATING: Heating and pressure increase.

ESTERILIZANDO: Esterilizacion.

DISCHARGING: Automatic discharge of water and steam from the sterilization chamber to the distilled water tank.

DRYING: Vacuum drying and barometric leveling.

END OF PROCESS: Notice of the end of the sterilization cycle.

The microprocessor display will give us warning messages when, for example, the condensate tank does not have enough water, when the bacteriological filter needs to be changed, or when it is printing results. Likewise, if there is any anomaly during the execution of a program, apart from the program being aborted, it will give us a fault message, for example, due to a broken temperature sensor, if there is a fault during the filling period of the autoclave chamber, if there is a fault during the heating period, if the sterilization temperature differs by 2 degrees, either more or less, from the selected temperature, if there has been a power cut, etc. All these messages on the screen greatly assist the user in interpreting a possible anomaly. In liquid programs, the “draining” phase does not execute, and instead, there is the “cooling” phase (cooling by natural heat loss until the end process temperature). Likewise, in liquid programs, the “drying” phase does not exist as it is not possible to program a final drying.
