With the PCE-LCT 1 ammeter, it is possible to measure leakage currents in a range of up to 100 A. Leakage currents arise when current flows through electrical conductors that are not normally designed for current conduction. The PCE-LCT 1 ammeter detects these currents and displays them on the screen. With the help of the PCE-LCT 1, for example, it is possible to detect insulation failures. This is especially advantageous in places where machines cannot or should not be turned off, but require insulation checks, for example, a check according to VDE 701/702 standards. Since the leakage current ammeter measures not only leakage currents but also current flow, voltage up to 400 V, resistance, and continuity, this leakage current ammeter is an ideal instrument for electricians who need to perform different measurements, in addition to checks according to VDE standards.
