The PCE-GM 60Plus gloss meter is an instrument that determines gloss on different materials. During measurement, the gloss meter detects the reflection of the light beam. The gloss meter itself emits the light. A portion of the light is reflected off the surface, while another portion is absorbed by the surface. The gloss meter calculates the degree of gloss based on the reflected light and displays it on the TFT screen.

The gloss meter is mainly used when it is necessary for products to have the same appearance and the same characteristics and properties. This way, it avoids complaints from customers, along with the respective costs that this entails. On the other hand, it ensures that the appearance of the equipment is always the same.
