The PCE-PI 160 infrared thermometer is a fully radiometric infrared measurement camera system for detecting and representing thermal images and temperature profiles of the objects to be observed. The PCE-PI 160 infrared thermometer is at the forefront of the latest technology thanks to the USB 2.0 interface that allows real-time thermography with 120 images per second, and also because it offers both fixed and portable infrared cameras at an excellent price-performance ratio. The infrared thermometer generates thermal images in real-time at a frequency of 120 Hz. With the help of a series of snapshots or video sequence capture, the images can be archived. The PCE-PI 160 infrared thermometer is based on a small bolometer (UFPA) with 160 x 120 pixels and a pixel size of 25 x 25 µm. The excellent thermal sensitivity enables the representation of the most subtle temperature details. Therefore, the PCE-PI 160 infrared thermometer is the optimal thermographic solution for applications in research and development, test stations, process automation, or for portable measurement tasks. The infrared thermometer connects to a computer via a USB cable and is ready for use immediately after. The temperature data from the infrared thermometer is transferred as thermal images to the supplied software optris PI Connect. This also performs remote control of the camera. The software also has a linear camera function, through which moving measurement objects can be controlled within a process. Weighing only 250 g, the PCE-PI 160 infrared thermometer is extraordinarily lightweight and one of the smallest thermographic cameras in the world. In combination with a tablet, the infrared thermometer can even be used for preventive maintenance or thermography for buildings. The PCE-PI 160 infrared thermometer fills the existing gap between portable infrared cameras and fixed installation devices.
