Example of magnetic field variation with distance

Magnetic flux density values (B, in microteslas, µT), measured at one meter height above the ground, near an electric transport line (the tower is not represented to scale). It is observed that the values of B significantly decrease as the distance to the line increases. Thus, directly above the line, B could reach values of up to 6 µT; at 15 meters from the line, B would be halved, and for distances greater than 30 meters, B would be in the order of tenths of microtesla.
