Our portable impact tester is used to quickly and independently check the surface hardness of metallic materials. In the metallurgical sector, it is very important to know the hardness of the material used and to verify the hardness data provided by the manufacturer. The impact tester provides Rockwell B & C, Vickers HV, Brinell HB, Shore HS, and Leeb HL parameters.
This impact tester is very useful in production, quality control, and technical service due to its mobility. Its compact design and battery operation make this device very easy to use. The PCE-1000 impact tester can be used in all positions and does not have data transmission to a PC or internal memory.
Advantages:
- Pocket format, takes up little space.
- Measures all the usual parameters.
- Integrated / wireless impact instrument
- Wide measurement range
- High precision
- Possibility to measure in any position
- Battery and charger included
- Wide variety of optional adapters
Measurement principle of the impact meter:
The dynamic measurement procedure uses the difference between the rebound speeds of a small impact body. This is launched in the impact instrument by means of a tensioned spring to the surface of the metal piece.
This procedure was developed in 1978 by Mr. Leeb, from which the name of the Leeb hardness unit (HL) comes.
