With the PCE-RVI 2 rotational viscometer, you can accurately determine the viscosity of a liquid. For this, the rotational viscometer measures the mechanical resistance of a liquid acting against the rotational movement of a cylinder. The resulting torque provides a viscosity value related to the geometry of the cylinder, which can be indicated, depending on the model of the rotational viscometer, in the range of 3 – 13,000,000 mPa·s, with an accuracy of ±1%. Additionally, the rotational viscometer measures the temperature of the test liquid and the sample, along with other parameters such as the spindle's number of revolutions, the selected spindle, or the established measurement range, on the 4-line LCD screen. The multilingual menu of the PCE-RVI 2 rotational viscometer is operated with the keys on the front of the device and allows, in combination with different spindle geometries, the optimal adaptation of the measurement parameters to the properties of the test liquid. Via an RS-232 interface, the PCE-RVI 2 rotational viscometer can optionally be connected to a computer for deeper analysis and documentation of measurement results. This leads to many different applications of the PCE-RVI 2 rotational viscometer in the food, chemical, or cosmetic industries, material analysis, or in research and development sectors in higher education institutions and universities.
