Thermal stress meter to analyze the WBGT index / wet bulb temperature / globe thermometer temperature /

The thermal stress meter is used to analyze the WBGT index in the presence or absence of solar irradiation. The technical stress meter has three inputs for probes with SICRAM module. The probes have an electronic circuit that communicates with the thermal stress meter, and the calibration data of the sensor is stored in its permanent memory. All SICRAM probes can be inserted into one of the inputs and are automatically recognized when the meter is turned on. The HD32.2 meter can detect the following magnitudes: 

 - Temperature of the glass thermometer Tg

 Wet bulb temperature with natural ventilation Tn

 - Temperatura ambiente T

According to the detected magnitudes, the meter can calculate the WBGT(in) index in the presence or absence of solar irradiation or the WBGT(out) index in the presence of solar irradiation.

The WBGT is one of the indices used to determine the thermal stress that a person may experience in a hot environment. It represents the value, according to the metabolic consumption associated with a certain work, in addition to the situation where the person is under thermal stress. The WBGT index combines the measurement of wet bulb temperature with natural ventilation and globe thermometer temperature, and in some situations, with air temperature. The measured data must be compared with the limit values established by regulation; if exceeded, thermal stress in the examined workplace must be directly reduced and thermal stress analyzed in detail.

To calculate the WBGT index, it is necessary for the meter to have the following probes connected:

 - Wet bulb temperature probe with natural ventilation HP3201.2

 - Globotermometer probe TP3276.2

 - Dry bulb temperature probe if detection is performed in the presence of solar irradiation

    TP3207.2
