To correctly analyze the signals, you need to ensure that you can see in sufficient detail. The TBS1000B comes standard with a high-resolution 7-inch TFT display for a clear view of all your signals and critical information on the screen. The instrument is enhanced by a user interface inspired by the award-winning Tektronix MSO / DPO series of instruments. The interface is user-friendly, provides quick access to all oscilloscope functions, and includes a high-resolution "Pan & Zoom" feature that allows you to see even more details of the signal up to 10 times the normal resolution.

Digital accuracy for precise measurements
With a maximum bandwidth of 200 MHz, maximum sampling frequency of 2 GS/s, and vertical measurement accuracy of 3% of the TBS1000B, you can see the details of your signals. With Tektronix's patented sampling technology, there are no compromises; you get real-time sampling frequency that appears on all channels, all the time with at least 10 times oversampling. Sampling performance is not reduced when changing horizontal settings or when using multiple channels, allowing you to see the true characteristics of your signals.

The TBS1000B oscilloscope comes standard with a variety of advanced triggering factors used for today's complex debugging circuits. Flexible options for using rising or falling edges, pulse widths, and video trigger setups allow users to quickly isolate their signals of interest.

Once the signals are captured, the TBS1000B offers advanced math and measurement capabilities making it easy to evaluate signal quality. Users can add, subtract, and multiply waveforms or use any of 34 automatic measurements to quickly and reliably calculate important signal characteristics such as frequency, rise time, or overshoot.

A dedicated front panel button provides quick access to the FFT function, which is capable of displaying both frequency waveforms and time domain simultaneously, providing a convenient way to see the relationship between signals and FFT results.

For precise frequency measurements, the TBS1000B also comes with a dual channel frequency counter function. Independent activation level control for each counter provides an easy way to monitor two different signal frequencies simultaneously.

Extensive tracking and analysis tools
Intermittent failures can be difficult to assess simply because they do not occur often, making them hard to capture. The TrendPlot™ function helps find faults by representing measurement values over long periods of time. Select the measurement to capture on one or both channels and then set the oscilloscope to continuously monitor those measurements, display the data on the screen, and at the same time save the information to a USB flash drive. Depending on the oscilloscope's configuration, you will be able to capture data for minutes, hours, or even days; the only limitation is the size of the USB drive.
To find intermittent faults, the TrendPlot™ function can monitor measurements over long periods.
Often, only pass/fail data is needed to determine if a signal is good. This can be easily achieved with the TBS1000B limit test function. The oscilloscope can be set up to automatically monitor a source signal and approve or disapprove the results by evaluating whether the acquired waveform falls within predefined limits. The TBS1000B limit test feature allows users to create templates based on one or two independent reference waveforms, providing more flexibility in creating masks for complex signals. If a failure is detected, a series of specific actions can be triggered, including; stopping signal acquisition, halting limit test functions, capturing an image of the failed waveform screen, or any combination of the above saving.
The limit test feature provides a quick pass/fail comparison between any active input signal and a user-defined template.

The USB port on the front panel allows you to save instrument settings, screenshots, and waveform data to a USB memory device. This port is also compatible with the built-in data logging function that allows you to configure the oscilloscope to save user-specified triggered waveforms to a USB device for up to 24 hours. You can also select the "infinite" option for continuous waveform monitoring. In infinite mode, you can save your triggered waveforms to an external USB memory device without a duration limitation until the memory device is full. The oscilloscope will guide you to insert another USB memory device to continue saving waveforms.
Data logging allows for automatic saving of triggered waveforms.
