Comprehensive sound level meter of the CEL-620 series
Sound level meter with internal data memory / high-resolution color display / multi-language menu / compact and robust design / noise assessments in the workplace / automatic calibration function
The digital sound level meter of the CEL-620 series uses the most advanced digital technology to deliver performance levels never experienced in such a compact design. The CEL-620 digital sound level meter, with its high-resolution, full-color TFT display, has been specifically created for quick and easy noise measurements. Different models of this sound level meter are available depending on your requirements for use in measuring noise within the general work environment, or to meet specific industrial hygiene requirements where octave band analysis is necessary for selecting effective hearing protection. The CEL-620 series sound level meter consists of the CEL-620 A/2/K1 and the CEL-620B/2/K1. The CEL-620 series sound level meter also integrates, measuring average noise levels in addition to peak levels, in accordance with noise legislation in the workplace. Additionally, the CEL-620A/2/K1 model simultaneously measures LC and LA used within the HML method for selecting hearing protection. Furthermore, the CEL-620B/2/K1 model performs real-time octave band analysis from 16Hz to 16kHz; values used in the octave band method for selecting hearing protection.

The CEL-620 series uses high-resolution screen colors to help the user perform measurements. The measurement displays are color-coded depending on the mode of
operation. For example, during a measurement session, the header and footer of the screen will be green (shown on the right), while interrupting the measurement will turn them red; similar to the colors of a traffic light
for 'stop' and 'circular'. The measured parameters are displayed in different colors, and the bar graphs are illustrated with these same colors to provide easier understanding of the
noise state.
Simple operation
The CEL-620 series has been designed for ease of use. The menu structure aims to allow the instrument to be used without needing to consult the manual. Each selection employs a simple icon structure with written messages. The instrument has six selectable settings. Four predefined settings can be used to meet applicable noise regulations in the workplace (e.g., DIN, OSHA). Two user-defined settings can be defined to display parameters and weights as appropriate. Regardless of the setting used, the CEL-620 series measures and stores all parameters and weights. If necessary, these can be viewed in the software. Measurement errors are excluded thanks to the recorded parameters. Up to 100 measurements can be stored without needing to download. All measurement sessions
date and time stamped. When connected to a computer via USB, the CEL-620 series acts as a memory card, allowing data files to be transferred to a computer and easily viewed without requiring proprietary software
Digital technology
By applying Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology, the CEL-620 series simultaneously measures all noise parameters in the work environment with the necessary time and frequency weightings, preventing incorrect instrument settings. The instrument has a single wide measurement range of 20-140 dB, thus eliminating the need to change the measurement range and preventing errors. In the CEL-620B/2/K1 model, octave analysis is performed in real-time, saving time by not having to execute measurements sequentially. The results of the octave bands are displayed in tabular form and as a bar graph, with the dominant frequency highlighted. The chronological history of the broadband noise level is visualized in real-time, so the user can see how noise levels vary over time.
