Measurement of conductivity and salinity in the earth, in soil, or in solutions

The salinometer is particularly suitable for determining the total mineralization of soil or land. With this salinometer, we obtain important information when assessing soil quality and the use of fertilizers.

The accumulation parameter "conductivity" informs about the presence of minerals in the soil. The amount and type of mineralization provides information about the effectiveness in growth. A lack of minerals always leads to plant damage. Regarding irrigation, the exact knowledge of water conductivity is an important factor in agriculture. Thus, continuous monitoring through a soil salinometer is a significant improvement.



The salinometer not only impresses with its two probes for soil and fluids but also with both salinity and conductivity measurement fields. An alarm is triggered when the amount of nutrients (nitrogen or potassium) is insufficient or if the soil is too dry. In this case, demineralized water should be added to the measurement test and then measured as a soil solution.
